Gill is a co-founder of Macrae Roxburgh Appleby in London.
Gill's role includes undertaking searches for leading UK and US firms in London, Continental Europe and the Middle East. Gill has over 12 years' legal recruitment experience and has placed partners and senior lawyers in many of the leading international law firms.
Prior to setting up MRA, Gill was a partner in one of the leading legal recruitment firms, Taylor Root. During her time at Taylor Root, Gill was responsible for setting up their specialist US division, which capitalised on the influx and expansion of US law firms into London during the late 1990’s. She gained a strong expertise in this field. Gill was also instrumental in setting up Taylor Root’s international division and partner recruitment team.
Gill started her career at Herbert Smith where she qualified as a lawyer in 1994. Gill attended Bristol University, where she read law, and the College of Law, Guildford.
